This is Leilujh live at Annie's Social Club on August 20th, 2008. This was our first show with Samara D on flute, keys, and vocals. It was our last show with the Nez on lead guitar.
We shared the bill with two amazing groups--The Isabellas and Foreign Cinema. The Isabellas are a 3-piece group with all of the advantages of a trio (tightness) without any of the drawbacks (monotony). They are all exceptional musicians, and sometimes strong musicians rely too much on their technical ability and focus less on the songwriting. But not the Isabellas--these guys write incredibly catchy punk/pop songs with great lyrics sung by singer/guitarist Chloe Martin in a pleading voice that would make Sleater-Kinney proud.
