April 23, 2009 - Kimo's, San Francisco This was on a Thursday night in Nob Hill. We shared the stage with two amazing bands: The Blind from East Bay and The Sleepover Disaster from Fresno. The Sleepover Disaster is a shoegazey trio that were reminiscent of Slowdive, Catherine Wheel, Chapterhouse, Ride, and all those other bands that I love from the 90's. Daddy Cool and The Hammer both had the same comment about the band: "I can't believe how huge and full they sound for a 3 piece!" I bought their full length cd and there are some gems in there definitely. The Blind was a bit shoegazey as well, but a bit more pop oriented and less psychadelic/droning/wall of sound things happening. The singer Klaus has an amazing voice! leilujh@gmail.com
